Society Tournament 2015

A great start to the tournament. Day one of the tournament saw Tyrone Barker as to qualifier for the 18 holers on what was a beautiful day on the Rangitikei.

The qualifying day for the 36ers was wry bit this didn’t dampen the mood with a mix of shoes being produced. Kyle James was the number one qualifier for the day. Congratulations. Stand out performance was from Kev Smith who shot a net 59 and 62. Only dreams are made of that.

Let’s hope the weather improves for the rest of the week.

Day two saw some great competition between friends. A lot of match play round were taken to the 19th or beyond. This year’s tournament has seen a lot of laughter between friends, old and new. Good luck to all finalists tomorrow.

Great finish to the tournament. Giving away about 60 prizes for the night saw most people walk away with something. Some of the winners were:
RNZAF Championship Winner (Senior Cup): Willie Harold
RNZAF Championship Runner Up: Kyle James
Society Championship Winner (Woodbourne Trophy): Craig Revell
Tyro Handicap Winner (Tyro Cup): Min McCann
18 Hole Matchplay Winner: Trev Healey

This year saw Snoz Healey reach a 50 year milestone for association with RNZAF Society Golf and was awarded an Honorary Membership. Awesome Snoz, your humour always makes the tournament enjoyable, even when the golf isn’t.
